Release Notes

This new version brings several corrections as well as a few new features that make archimedes much closer to a usable condition.
We can talk about autosave, extend, mirror and text edition.
Also a great number of small details were adjusted to easy the user's work.

In this version, we have a big step towards stability and behavioural patterns.
It's also our first version with a community contribution in the software: the italian translation.

Change log:
Features:
  • Autosave. Archimedes now saves from time to time the work undergoing to avoid it loss.
  • Text edition. Now with a double click (or with 'editext') it is possible to edit an existing text.
  • Mirror.
This command allows to mirror a selection with a mirror line defined within the command.
  • Extend command to extend elements. It's behaviour is very similar to trim.
  • The circle now shows snap points at the special angles (0, 90, 180, 270).
  • Archimedes now exports to svg format.

Modifications:
  • Text now allows space.
  • The interpreter now shows the actual command (if any).
  • On copying between drawings, the elements are pasted in a layer with the same name as it previous one.
If none exists, in a new one with the same caracteristics.
  • The perpendicular snap icon was changed.
It's now a square in a corner.
  • The selection now informs how many elements are selected.
  • Rectangles and arcs ignore the orto state.
  • The tooltip text of the copy and paste buttons has been changed.
  • By default, all commands now finish both with esc as enter.

Corrections:
  • Fillet bug that erased closed polylines when selected has been corrected.
  • No more refresh latency.
  • Icons are activating and deactivating correctly again.
  • Perpendicular grip now works on all commands.
A couple exceptions: grip won't work in polylines under creation or in area definitions.
  • Snap points are working again.
